Brilliant PR & Marketing, one of the most respected and rapidly growing agencies focused on family-oriented brands, seeks a Full-time Media Relations Specialist to help support the agency’s growing, award-winning earned influencer, media and brand campaign team.

What We’re Looking For:

Our Dream Team Member:

  • 2-3 years of experience supporting earned media campaigns for CPG brands, with a proven track record of success.
  • Existing relationships with consumer editors and outlets
  • Willing to meet and network with NYC-based media 
  • Regularly engaged with social media platforms, with a mid-level understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Highly attuned to pop culture and emerging industry trends.
  • Knowing how to leverage affiliate programs via pitching
  • Experience with affiliate marketing via platforms such as Impact, LTK and Levanta is not required but is considered a bonus. 
  • Naturally curious, passionate and collaborative. 
 

What You’ll Do:

EARNED MEDIA 

  • Media Databases:  Pull and manage up-to-date press lists. 
  • Creative Storytelling: Drafts and distributes timely and relevant pitch content to secure high-impact editorial coverage for clients.
  • Media Mailers and Product Seeding: Identify opportunities to get products in the hands of editorial gatekeepers for reviews and incremental coverage opportunities.
  • Tracking and Reporting:  Monitor for client coverage and support with regular program/project recaps. 
  • Awards:  Supports the team on Editorial award submissions
  • Creative Ideation:  Participate and input into team brainstorms. Take detailed notes and organize ideas for senior leadership.
 

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT 

  • Project Management: Help manage project timelines, deliverables, and deadlines. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project completion.
  • Client Communication: Assist in developing meeting agendas, taking call notes and sending call recaps.  Respond to client inquiries as appropriate and send proactive email updates on projects.
  • Research:  Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media outlets.

Salary Range: $48,000 - $58,000
